BARS AND CLUBS Info and map at Casa de EL CHAMUCO |

NOTE FROM EL CHAMUCO:
Some time ago Sir Brockton O'Toole suggested the creation of an ASCII map of Zona Norte so people could have a better idea of where the TJ clubs where located. There are some maps availble here at Casa De EL CHAMUCO, but they lack the clarity which a map with a focus on Zona Norte could provide. Eventually the Sire, with the help from one of his correspondents, finished the ASCII map and posted it to ASPT to be added to the newsgroup's collection of knowledge.
Here, for your convenience, and to kick off the TJ CLUBS section, is
the map in two formats. The first is my GIF interpretation of the
ASCII format. It's not very professional looking, but it is small
and convenient for the purpose of this page. The second format is
the original ASCII map posted by Sir Brockton, which you can accesss by
clicking here. Neither of the maps is on scale. More items will hopefully be
added to this section in future updates.

RED = Dangerous area based upon previous reports of robberies. Note: Miami & Hong Kong are on a narrow street (alley) between Coahuila and Calle 1A (1A = Primera, 2A = Segunda --which is first and second respectively). Street walkers are along Calle 1A west of Revolucion and in Zona Norte. |
The most recommended clubs in ASPT are the Chicago Club (aka "CC"), the Adelita Bar (aka "Adelitas"), the Hong Kong, (aka "HK"), and, according to recent reports by Sire Oliver, the New York. The rest of the bars usually don't have as much "action" but you could get lucky if you keep your eyes open. Some of these places appear in the TJ GALLERY if you are curious about what they look like.
This map alone is NOT enough information for the first time TJ Traveler.
It is STRONGLY recommended that you read the TJ
FAQ by Sir Brockton O'Toole if you want to make the best out of
your trip--and specially if you are to better understand the map itself.
For the latest trip reports and other info on Zona Norte's bars and clubs refer to ASPT.
